Cancellation Policy

Course Refund and Make-Up Class Policy Refunds and Cancellations: Full refunds are not available for courses or workshops, regardless of the reason. Due to the limited time and small class sizes, issuing refunds for cancellations or dropouts impacts the viability of the courses. Partial refunds, minus a $50 administrative fee, will be granted up to 7 days before the course start date. A 50% refund is available during the week preceding the course start date. Please only enroll if you are committed to attending, as last-minute withdrawals affect other potential participants. Courses require a minimum of 3 participants to proceed, and refunds cannot be granted for unutilized spots. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the course starts or during the course, including medical withdrawals. Students are responsible for unforeseen circumstances. Students may sell or gift their spot in a course if they need to cancel last minute. Attendance and Make-Up Sessions: Students are entitled to one make-up session per course for absences due to illness or unavoidable circumstances. Make-up sessions must be completed before the course ends and prior to the bisque firing of class items. Failure to attend the final session will result in the instructor dip-glazing the student's pieces unless alternative arrangements are made. No make-up sessions will be scheduled after the course has concluded and the class's items have been glaze fired. Having unfinished student work in the studio or trying to schedule make-up classes once a new term of classes has started creates chaos and often decreases the number of workshops and courses that can be offered. Instructor Cancellations: In the event of instructor illness or emergency, a replacement session will be added to the course schedule. The instructor commits to attending the set number of sessions for the class. For example, a 5-week class will run for 5 weeks. If the instructor cancels a class, an additional session will be added at the end of the course, extending the course's end date. 1 or 2 session workshops and courses: Workshops are non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days before the start. Workshops cancelled more than 7 days before the course starts will not incur a service fee. Workshops cancelled by the instructor will be offered an alternate date, or refunded in full with no service fee.
